Cloudy Amsterdam

Cold and bad weather. Not most photographer’s favourite conditions to shoot photos. Walking around cloudy Amsterdam yesterday the weather changed from sunny to rainy to snowy and back to sunny again. Weird. And cold. But, even with dark weather, cloudy Amsterdam is still a pretty city.

Make sure to bring a bag with a rain cover as it rains often in The Netherlands, all year round. If it’s not raining too hard, I usually put on the sun hood to prevent raindrops from hitting the lens. Be aware, not all camera bodies can sustain water!

Calatrava in Bilbao

I was in Bilbao, Spain, a couple of months ago. Bilbao became world famous for its Guggenheim museum that was designed by architect Frank Gehry. But there is more interesting architecture: a bridge by Santiago Calatrava and the Iberdrola tower by Cesar Pelli, known for the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.
